PILATES CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

PILATES AND SCULPT:

Fusion of core pilates based exercises with sculpting dumbbell moves to focus on all over body toning for a long lean body with six pack type abdominals.

Mat needed for floor work.

 

Pilates: Shape your body with deep muscle toning exercises done on a mat on the floor. Exercises focus on the abs, hips and buttocks. Please bring a mat to class.

 

 

FAT BURNING PILATES

Fusion of calorie burning cardio and pilates based toning to maximize your fat burning, especially around the waist. Please bring a mat to class for floor work, or purchase for $25 from teacher.

 

ABOMINABLE ABDOMINALS

Workout Series: The Abominable Abdominals

Work with Personal Trainer, to get the washboard abs, or six pack you have always wanted.

- Tone and Tighten the midsection- strengthen the abdominals- prevent back injury

PILATES & SCULPT Flow of exercises will be performed with emphasis on abdominals & lower back muscles. Result: Longer, leaner muscles, dramatic improvement in posture/flexibility. Class includes some sculpting moves. Mat required. Light hand weights recommended (3 to 5 lbs). Instructor will have mats ($25) for sale on the first day of class.

 

PILATES ON THE BALL Pilates-Based Swiss Ball Exercise Series. Includes Core (Abdominals & Lower Back) training incorporating the large exercise ball. This class adds resistance, balance work and challenge; resembling the Pilates machines workout. Muscle toning and strengthening exercises will be performed with emphasis on flexibility and posture.

Result: Longer, leaner muscles, dramatic improvement in your posture. Ball and mat required. Instructor will have balls ($25) and mats ($25) for sale on the first day of class.

 

PILATES MAT WORK Pilates is a powerful body sculpting system for losing weight, sculpting long, lean muscles and reshaping your body from head to toe. Exercises help develop core control, integrating the trunk, pelvis and shoulder girdle muscles. Mat required.

 

DANCE/PILATES FUSION Fusing the best from Pilates, dance, yoga, to stretch, firm and sculpt the body. Please bring a mat to class for floor work, OR purchase at class

 

PILATES FOR BACK CARE Finally, a workout that addresses one of today's most common ailments: back pain. In keeping with current research, Pilates for Back Care workout focuses on strengthening the abdominals, shoulder girdle and deep support muscles of the spine. The perfect foundation for any exercise program. Required equipment: exercise mat (available from the instructor $25) Class Length: 45 minutes

 

PILATES WITH PROPS Pilates mat exercises using PROPS: the stability ball, ring, rubber resistance and/or foam roller. Students will learn how to incorporate the small apparatus into traditional Pilates movements. Exercise modifications and progressions are included, as well as a review of neutral alignment and breath. Prior Pilates experience NOT mandatory. Mat will be needed and may be purchased from the instructor at $25. If you have a big ball, please bring it to class.

 

PILATES AND GLUTES This class combines the most effective core conditioning exercises that target the abdominals and lower body. Burn fat, build strength, and tone the whole lower body and stomach! Mat will be available for sale from the instructor ($25)

 

This is our most popular class! YOGA/PILATES SYNERGY This class combines the most effective movements from Yoga & Pilates (Core Conditioning) to give practioners more rapid & balanced development of their bodies than when either discipline is performed separately. You will develop a LONG, LEAN BODY, with this workout which relieves stress, creates better balance, & helps you lose weight. Bring a Yoga Mat or exercise mat or available for sale ($25).
