This class uses poses and stretches combined with basic fitness principles to challenge teen fitness enthusiasts. Participants will increase heart rate, break a sweat, challenge and tone the muscles, and experience relaxation. Bring Yoga Mat.

 

Kundalini Yoga: This traditional style yoga offers a unique combination of

meditation and breathing. The techniques introduced in this class will

clear the mind, build energy and endurance, and challenge participants.

Yoga Flow: This class provides a physical journey of flowing movements

and controlled breathing while holding routine postures. Participants

will relieve stress and bring peace to their hearts, minds and bodies

through movement.

 

FitYoga: This class uses poses and stretches combined with basic fitness

principles to challenge fitness enthusiasts. FitYoga participants will

increase heart rate, break a sweat, challenge and tone the muscles, and

experience relaxation.

Fat Burning Yoga-Pilates:

You can tone and re-shape your entire body, increase energy levels, feel lean and limber, and it can help you maintain healthy weight levels. By adding more movement to your yoga practice, you'll definitely increase your heart rate and improve your circulation, which aids in weight loss and burning extra calories. Improve your muscle strength, with an ab routine to trim your mid-section

ASHTANGA YOGA This class follows the traditional Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois. The one hour class covers the basics: Sun Salutations, standing poses, many of the seated poses and some of the finishing poses. Classes are suitable for all levels. Yoga Mat needed.

 

BEGINNING ASHTANGA YOGA This style of Yoga is practiced by Madonna & Sting! Learn sun salutations, and a mix of postures from the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. This form of Yoga dynamically increases strength and flexibility. Generate heat and energy as you detoxify and align the body through a flowing series of postures. Yoga mat suggested.

 

KID’S YOGA ages 5 to 10 years This class is a fun, creative approach to Yoga that is helpful for children whose bodies are still developing. Kids will develop strength, flexibility, coordination & body awareness in addition to improving concentration and focus. Using interactive games kids will learn about animals, nature and basic anatomy through Yoga postures. They will learn how to release energy and to relax! Try the pigeon, dog pose, cobra, and tree! VINYASA POWER YOGA (for beginners) A more vigorous style of yoga which is both energizing and relaxing! Learn sun salutations, and a mix of postures from the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. Ashtanga Yoga is the style of yoga practiced by Sting and Madonna. This practice integrates body, mind, & spirit. Yoga mat required. You may purchase one at class for $25.

 

FITNESS RX PRENATAL YOGA Prenatal yoga opens muscles of the pelvis, thereby reducing pressure on ligaments and easing lower-back pain.  Prenatal Yoga promotes flexibility, strength and stamina while releasing stress on joints.  No previous yoga experience is required. Class will follow all guidelines of ACOG ( American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists). Yoga mat required. Pillow, blanket suggested.

YOGA BASICS This practice suits all levels of practioners as you will learn specific breathing techniques and postures which will help bring the mind and body into a mutual state of well being, ease and vibrant alertness. Class incorporates asanas (postures), pranayama (regulated breathing) and meditation to bring about improved health and fitness. CONTINUING YOGA Emphasis on deepening awareness of the body, and understanding of alignment principles. Movements are more challenging than in beginning classes. Knowledge of the basic poses is assumed, with posture variations and breathing practices to help you deepen your experience. Please bring a yoga mat or purchase: $25

 

YOGA FOR WEIGHT LOSS This class is designed for Adults who wish to tone up and/or lose weight. Class begins with sun salutations and continues with a series of connected postures. You will work at your own pace to enhance your balance, and improve flexibility. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat. Mats will be available for sale $25.

 

This is our most popular class! YOGA/PILATES SYNERGY This class combines the most effective movements from Yoga & Pilates (Core Conditioning) to give practioners more rapid & balanced development of their bodies than when either discipline is performed separately. You will develop a LONG, LEAN BODY, with this workout which relieves stress, creates better balance, & helps you lose weight. Bring a Yoga Mat or exercise mat or available for sale ($25).

 

 

PRENATAL YOGA PILATES SYNERGY As the body changes through each trimester, aches and pains can become more prevalent. Studies have shown that exercise during pregnancy can alleviate many discomforts, such as backache, fatigue, nausea, and cramping, as well as assist in an easier delivery and quicker recovery. Both Yoga and Pilates focus on many of the key areas that need work during pregnancy-- areas such as flexibility, abdominal muscles, and pelvic floor strength, of utmost importance in carrying and delivering a baby.
